Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is minimum eligibility criteria to become a government teacher in state or central level. Teacher Eligibility Test is necessary to clear for those candidates who want to become the government teacher. Every State & Central government will be conducting TET exam every year.
Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted in two-level namely paper 1 and paper 2. Paper – 1(Primary Level) for those candidates who want to become a teacher in primary school (1 to 5th class) and Paper – 2 (Upper Primary Level) for those candidates who want to become the teacher in Junior school (6 to 10th class).
Pattern of TET examination
This examination is conduct by NCET, which contains 150-digit questions which must be completed in 150 minutes. All questions are multiple choice. The TET exam is different for primary and junior level, there are five sections in both exams.

Understand the pattern of exams well –
First of all, understand the exam pattern and syllabus properly, only after that prepare for the exam, you will take less time to prepare for the exam and the preparation will be also better.

Prepare for the test should always be stress free. If you are prepared for the exam with stress and burden, then your preparation will not be done properly, therefore whenever you prepare for the exam, make it without stress. .

you should prepare strategies for success, you must prepare strategies carefully. You must prepare important topics well. By making your notes according to each subject, it will help you in achieving success in TET.
Practice the Mock Test –
By practicing the Mock Test, you learn to solve paper according to time. As in Paper 1 you have to resolve 150 questions in 2:30 minutes. And to solve every question, you will have one minute time. From the Mock Test you will be able to learn to solve the question in a time limit.
Try to solve questions as much as you can –
TET There is no negative marking in the exam of this, so try to solve questions as much as possible. Do not leave any questions in the exam. First solve the simple questions first.
What is Teacher’s Eligibility Test?
Teacher Eligibility Test is a test done by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) every year to improve the teaching methods.
In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in class I to VIII, vide its Notification . One of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government.
